Working on Something Else

Before my obsession with quilting/sewing, I did a lot of knitting. Since I have just completed my second quilt, I have decided to pick up my knitting needles again and make myself a tank top. But I can't seem to work on one project at a time, (I think I have craft ADD, is there such a thing?), I started a sweater project that I hope will be ready for winter. Both of the patterns are from Physicknits. This is my first time working with her patterns and I am enjoying it. Instructions are clear and the charts are easy to read. Now, I just have to do my part and finish both of these projects.

Of course, I can't stay away from fabric for too long. Thus, I am looking for fabric for my next quilt along with Old Red Barn Co. It will be a zig zag quilt this time and I get to learn all about working with triangles.

Next time, I will show you more progress pictures of my tank top and hopefully some fabric for my quilt.

Have a great week and thank you for stopping by.

A Finished Quilt

Yay, I have finished my first free motion quilt and I love it. The color was exactly what I wanted and after washing and drying it, I loved it even more. Thanks to Dana from Old Red Barn Co. quilt along tutorial, I learned a great deal. I will recommend whoever decide to start quilting should check out her site.

I Did It

I did this...
.

and this...

I tried stippling on my sewing machine the first time and I love it. It was so mesmerizing and zen like that I neglected house cleaning, laundry, and feeding my husband. I hate how those things just get in the way of your quilting. LOL. Thank you for coming by for a visit. Enjoy your week.

A Semi-Quilt

Hope everyone had a nice Father's Day with their father today. We celebrated ours early to avoid the crowd and he enjoyed it. I joined Old Red Barn Co. quilt along last month and I am slowly coming along. This is my first quilt along and I am having lots of fun. You should go check out other great quilts people are working on at the flickr site. In the mean time, let me show you what I have.

Here are the fabric I used:

Here is what I have so far:

I am waiting for my stippling feet to arrive this week so I may start quilting.

Thank you for coming by and have a great week.

Beautiful Flowers

Finally, I have decided to start a blog.  I know I am late in joining the party since most people have moved on to twitter or whatever else is out there these days.  But, I hope that in starting this blog, I will be able to document my projects better and be accountable to finish my many started projects.  I don't have any projects to show you, yet.  But I have some beautiful peonies to show you.  Thank you for visiting.
